A leading global investment management firm is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Technical Business Analyst to join its fundraising team. The ideal candidate brings 3–6 years of business analysis experience within asset management or a related industry, and will play a key role in optimizing business processes and supporting data-driven decision-making for the firm's fundraising activities.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the fundraising team to gather business requirements, analyze processes, and identify opportunities for operational improvement
• Provide advanced Excel support, including complex formulas (SUMIFs, VLOOKUP, Index/Match), pivot tables, data validation, and reporting automation
• Administer and maintain Salesforce records for fundraising and investor relations, including data cleansing, dashboard/report building, and process automation
• Bridge communications between fundraising, investor relations, and technology teams to ensure accurate data capture, process alignment, and workflow efficiency
• Analyze fundraising pipelines, performance metrics, and investor engagement data to support business strategy
• Assist in designing and documenting investment management processes, including capital raising, client onboarding, and investor reporting
• Generate ad hoc and recurring analytical reports for senior stakeholders supporting fundraising initiatives
• Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide end-user training as needed
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field
• 3–6 years of relevant business analyst experience, preferably within asset management, private equity, alternatives, or related investment sectors
• Background in financial services required, ideally with direct exposure to fundraising, capital formation, or investment teams
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (SUMIFs, pivot tables, advanced formulas, data modeling, and charting tools); candidates should be prepared for a hands-on Excel exercise as part of the interview process
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce administration, including report/dashboard creation, user management, and basic automation
• Strong understanding of fundraising processes within investment management and the data flows supporting investor relations and capital raising
• Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Proven ability to independently manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Advanced Administrator) highly desirable
• Exposure to BI/reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus
• Experience supporting or working directly with fundraising or investor relations teams
